Reviews and Ratings
The hotel gave us the combination of twin/double rooms we required, and it would be a place I'd consider staying again despite the strong cigarette smoke smell and old-fashioned decor. The service, while generally friendly, had some instances of grumpiness from the staff. The location, although needing updating and having somewhat depressing rooms, was acceptable for a short stay to break the journey to Brittany. The dining options varied, healthy, and plentiful, but on the pricey side. The facilities were sufficient for our needs.
The hotel offers spacious and clean rooms, though slightly old-fashioned. The staff, while genuine, made a few mistakes. The location is convenient to explore Honfleur, but Sat Nav may mislead due to the address. Dining options vary in price and value, from plentiful assortments to underwhelming selections.
The hotel had a bit of a rocky start for us, from having to call the police and eventually demanding a room change due to the smell of cigarette smoke, which was quite unpleasant. However, the service improved as we found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The location, though slightly confusing with the address, was convenient for exploring Honfleur. The dining experience was a mix of shock and satisfaction, with good food but unexpected charges. Overall, a decent place with some ups and downs.
The hotel's rooms could have been a little larger in my view and were a bit shabby with doors that did not close properly, giving a tired impression. The cleanliness was lacking with dirty socks found under the bed, which was disappointing. On a positive note, the rooms are in separate buildings from the reception and restaurant.
